I cant get my MVP to work at all with v1.08.

The very first boot screen of the mvp with the 5 white / blue rectangles gets as far as the second box being blue, then drops back to 1, then 2 again, then 1 etc.

I then backed up the latest dongle, uninstalled gbpvr completely, (including renaming gbpvr folder) reinstalled 99.12 and the MVP worked first time.

I then copied over the backed up dongle from 1.08, power cycled the MVP and still it works no problem, so the latest dongle is fine, but the MVP server is just not working for me.

Ive now re-installed 1.08 and again MVP dosent get based second blue rectangle.

Any ideas where I need to look?

Thanks

zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

What version of Windows are you running?

Doh...

Now I'm feeling quite stupid...

The problem was simply the firewall, I have an exception rule for gbpvr.exe, but not for pvrx2.exe which is why it stoped working..

Fixed now... Smile

1 other question...

Is pvrx2 -fse the same as setting full screen exclusive in the config or is the config setting for playback and the command line option for the frontend?

Thanks

pvrx2.exe with no parameters uses VMR9 Custom. With the -fse parameter it uses VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive.

Does it ignore the setting in the config app for playback then?

I am assuming this is the case now because running pvrx3 -fse gives me a audio but no video after the machine comes back from hibernate / standby which is exactly what 99.12 did when I set FSE in the config app.

When I downloaded 1.08 yesterday the first thing I did was to select FSE in the config app and everything appeared to work, which I thought was great because FSE gives me better playback.

Now it looks like I was a bit hasty as PVRX2 is ignoreing this setting... Sad

I know your busy but is there any chance of bumping the FSE standby issue up the priorty list? Smile
I know from when we were looking at this issue before that ther are several others who have the same problem.

Thanks again

Bob
