Successful install - no major issues - great Big Grin

New updated look has a lot going for it - even for me where the main use on the Samsung 40" in the living room is through MediaMVP. Actually - MediaMVP seems quite a bit more responsive - thank you for that!

And ditto to all of the other praise above!

A couple of comments:
  • TV-Guide: Don't really like that channels where no programme is on gets "(no show details)" added - really just seems like superfluous clutter. Leaving it empty like before is more accurate and also gives a better and cleaner overview. Suggestion: Remove it or at least make it optional. (Unless it's part of the unavoidable compromise in the new environment)
  • Keystrokes are no longer 'stacked'. So you can no longer e.g. quickly pres 3*[Down] and [Enter]. You have to wait for the animation for each keypress. Can we have "stacked keypresses" back, please ?
  • Not having the full list of menu items visible reduces the general view of the options. Maybe losing confidence/simplicity in the UI?
  • TV-Guide: Hope the option for Icons only (also mentioned earlier in this thread) makes it through somehow. It's really taking up unnecessary screen realestate.

As a whole though, seems like quite a big step forward - thank you Smile

Guess it's time to hit that "Donate" button again...

/Niels

Spouse reports that the "Are you sure" you want to delete dialog for recordings is not in this version. I'm pretty sure I don't want to test just in case she is right. Did I miss something in the configuration?

To answer my own question... :o

I found the delete confirmation in the config app. The box is checked. Is it possible that this does not work in the current release?

Hi Sub,

thanks a lot and congrats for the 1.x release. Yet another smooth upgrade here in Switzerland. All my systems based on DVB-S cards are up and running.

I like the new PVRX2 very much.

Cheers, Ulrich

Sorry, that feature isnt implemented yet. I'll add it for the next release.

Is delete confirm still implemented in the old interface version of 1.0.8? That's a showstopper WAF problem.

Sub,

Great release and very worth the wait. And I was pleasantly surprised to find the new interface runs good, if not better, than the interface in 99.12.

When I read your release notes, I was expecting to find that 99.12 was going to be my final version on my limited hardware. But wow! The new version runs fine on my P3, 860 mhz with 512 mb ram!

The upgrade process did crash but the final screen said that the installation was successful and it ran fine. The config program didn't carry over all the settings (like directory locations and remote type) but it runs fine and all is well.

I am very impressed. Thank you very much.
