Like the interface very much, load time much shorter... I do notice a file called wmppia.dll is writtin to the root of my pvr HD. Inferred from date created (12-19-03)it is an old file from somewhere, but a search (including system and hidden files) finds none with that name. Deleting it does seem to initiate a reinstall of gbpvr, and the file is back in PVR HD root. Do dll's belong somewhere else?

I can think why that file would be ending up there. Is there any message in the Windows Event Viewer when the MSI installer decides it needs to run automatically?

The Windows installer is supposed to be putting this file in the Global Assembly Cache (c:\windows\assembly\GAC).

There is no folder (GAC) in that location, the re-install is at re-boot,,, or if I try to start GBPVR without wmppia.dll in root of HD, the install will comence.

Have not tried to create said folder / file to see if that prevents re-install.

Not sure about the Windows Event Viewer, dont know if I'm seeing that.

I think it's only supposed to be c:\windows\assembly\
I don't think there should be a folder called GAC there...

My XP and Vista machines seem to have c:\windows\assembly\GAC directory.

Hmm, I don't seem to have this on any of my machines (the GAC folder)
I just tried a fresh install on a system and it ended up putting the wmppia.dll in my c:\ directory...
