Having a few issues with my setup, and wanted to ask a few questions first to help me figure out what all the new changes with the release are --

You said it may be the end of the road for the users of PVR-350 (which I use) using the it's TV out.
Do you mean the supplied cable with the L/R audio, composite video, and S-video outputs - this is what I have been using.

If I can't use that output anymore, what do the rest of you use to get the picture on your TV?

I have a standard def TV - I do have a Radeon 9500 Pro video card that has s-video output if that helps.

Use the Svideo or composite out of your video card and the left and right audio outputs from your PC. Select the software decoder in the config. You will also need to install a software decoder if you don't already have one.

There was a patch posted a couple of days ago that gave this functionality.

Sub, is it possible to have a "patch" sticky f.i. in the support dep. Just like the 1.0.8 survival sticky. It would help to see these organized in one topic.

Sub -
trying out PVRX2,
once i created subdirectory /legacy under plugins and moved plugins there ,
was able to get my dreambox tuner back and all good.

Qusetion at the moment is the System menu seems to have dissapeared -
still present in GBPVR and still enabled in the plugins - but not present
in the PVRX2 menus -
any comment ?

Thats exactly what I've been doing with any patches I consider important in the '1.0.8 survival guide' thread, including this specific one.

I'm not going to add every patch in there, because often they're minor, or I want people to test them out and provide feedback before I recommend others apply them.
