Previous quote:
"is the live guide one of those wrinkles, I hope? Instead of having the timings and boxes for programs, its just one flat line of text for each channel.. (when you hit F11 on live tv)"

I see this also - is this how it is supposed to be right now, or is something wrong?

Very very impressed!!! The speed of the menu is awsome, even my wife notices a pleasent difference. I liked that you included gbpvr for us with a TV out in using the 350. I have 2 things I can't get to work. 1st the the device Type checker does not find the Hauppauge 350, but finds the 150 and 500 on the system. Is this normal? (log attached) I think I read somewhere the 350 is no longer recommended for GBPVR is that why?

The second seems to be a reoccuring problem in some threads with no answer yet. When a run live TV on any of my 3 clients they all start fine, but as soon as I change the channel the program freezes. Is thier a fix? I'm running stream not file sharing. The server seems to running just find as the live TV buffer mpeg increases, but the client stops to work. Could this be caused by the streaming file name not changing name with the channel changing?

Thanks again for such great work!!!! My whole family (4 of us)has grown in the past 2 years to depend on and trust the gbpvr server for our digital media needs. If you still take donation I will be contributing in the near future. This is worth paying for!!!!

Tobyo

Thanks - glad you like it.

I must admit, I'm only going to include gbpvr.exe in the release for a couple more releases, to give people enough time to transition over to the new interface in their own time.

Sorry, I know the device type checker utility is a bit buggy, and doesnt return the correct results for some people. It was only a quick utility I knocked in about half an hour two years ago, and I havnt touched it since then. At the time it did seem to work, but I have seen some reports later that it was incorrectly reporting PVR250/350 cards. I'm not sure why.

Quote:I think I read somewhere the 350 is no longer recommended for GBPVR is that why?
I dropped support for the PVR350 tv out about two years ago. The drivers for this device are very unreliable and would lockup or reboot for about half the people that would try to use it. I couldnt continue to support it with those sorts of problems out of my control.

Post the question in the support forums, along with the logs from both the client and the server and I'll take a look.

=( Cannot download http://www.gbpvr.com/GBPVR10008.msi using firefox. It simply stalls... Tried and Tried but cant. I have several computers (7 total) not one can receive the file.

ust my luck..... I finally get the nerve to upgrade and can`t. =(

I am looking forward to trying the new version when I get this download problem fixed =)

Congrats on reaching the 1.0 milestone.

I haven't read all the thread yet, but right out of the box it won't run. The menu comes up, but as soon as I touch a key on the keyboard, I get an error. Here's the error log

There are a couple of different versions of this on the DVBS forum. Which one should work? I pulled down one by codemonkey, but it does not seem to work with the plugin.
