The HVR1600 doesnt use the same filter names as the PVR150/500, so it will be device #1. The PVR500 capture sources will be device number #1 and #2.

OK Sub thank you that looks like that did it. Now I would like to try to get the QAM channels from my cable company. Which connector on the 1600 card the cable TV or the ATSC antenna do I connect to?

I dont know. I've never seen an HVR1600 in person, so I couldnt tell you anything about it's connectors.

You need to connect your cable source to the ATSC connector to get QAM on the appropriate HVR 1600. I was able to add a splitter allowing me to have both QAM and analog cable recording independently.
