I'm confused, but I added +0000 in the offset field in the gb-pvr guide program, it also didn't have any effect. Did you mean to add four zeros to the string in the .xml file?

Sorry, my last post was in reference to your perl scipt. Instead of having it adjust the time, try having add the +0000 so that it looks like:

<programme start="20070715180000 +0000" stop="20070715190000 +0000" channel="5">

i had to use my actual code, -0600 to the listings to get it on the right time..
the offset in config/xmltv setup doesn't seem to do anything?
apparently - goes ahead in time, and + goes backwards..
<programme start="20070715180000 -0600" <programme start="20070715180000 -0600"

i guess adding a configurable time offset to setup would be the fix..

I'll try that, thanks!

I actually haven't even imported the xml that I ran through the perl script yet, so I hope the minor formatting differences don't break anything. It's been a busy week.

i put in the dish code i have and added my channel list and viola! both local air channels Plus sat channels in one guide! Big Grin

so only one download and just the channels i want..
for my ant. source, i just uncheck the sat channels and for sat source, i just unselect the local channels..same guide for both

took a while to make the channel list tho..Smile [970 channels] and if i add the numbers to the names in .ini, it won't match the ch. with the program listings, thinks it's a different channel..[(channels)2 KPRC v. KPRC(progs)]
would be nice to be able to make name changes in the .ini, instead of having to adjust after..

i had to manually add the -0600 for times..[search/replace (000" ) with (000 -0600" ) ]
also i had to replace the channel list so it would list the numbers before the name for cosmetic reasons...but it looks good...
excellent way to get the locals from Yahoo...
[wondering why the app itself doesn't!!!?]

nice work...hope it gets some tweaks as it could be quite usefull..Big Grin
[it Needs the -0600 added bad]

[ini included]

I've been playing with OZ's code as well. Can you tell me how you get the schedule of over the air channels from the Api? Or do you get the schedule of over the air channels from somewhere else? Is there a special provider code to get a list of over the air channels?

Assuming you know your service provider ID, the HTTP command to get a schedule file from Y! is:
http://api.digitalhomeservices.yahoo.com...country=us

I hope this helps

(ignore the space in &country=us - the forum code is inserting that)

my ota channels are included in my dish lineup, [not the generic one] for houston...so i just map the correct channels for both...Smile
[Dish Network, Houston] [there's one for direct-tv and cable as well with locals]

the overtheair program did find a separate id for my local channels alone also..
he uses an interesting guesswork method to narrow down the search..
too bad they couldn't just send out xmltv compliant files..Big Grin

This is great, I am developing something similar using MSN for data (includes canadian listings). Can your program include additional details such as desc and previously-shown?

I'm a bit confused by the question. The program does include description and the optional feature to include Original Air date. (see Readme.txt).

Is that what you were asking or did I misunderstand the question?
