There are a couple of small issues that will be patched this week but there should be no major issues. About running a dual boot: You will actually need to be running in the MCE OS for this to work.

Since both are XP with one just having MCE not sure what you mean by dual OS.

The exclude is working. PM me your postal code and a snip from your exclude file and I'll take a look.

I thought there was other things with MCE diffrent from XP home/pro? I was hoping to just dual boot to put it in background.. but guess i cant do that now.
I dont particularly like the 2005 main menu screen, but do i have to look at it like that? Is there a way to keep the XP home/pro look instead of the diffrent color/shading theme of MCE?
I just dont want to lose other functionality.

From what I've heard you can make it look like classic XP but I have the Vista Home Premium which includes MCE so I really haven't seen the ins and outs of the MCE 2005. Vista Home Premium is pretty cool but you do have to make sure you can get drivers and software upgrades for all your stuff.

Dual boot means having two OSes installed but you actually only boot one at a time. You would not have one " running in the background". What you are refering to is a Virtual Machine. I have not been able to successfully set up the MCE EPG to run in a virtual machine.

My MCE looks just like my XP home. And they both look great with the MCE guide info on GBPVRSmile Wink It is only a few days running but it seems to be updating and so far so good. (any my exclude is working fine)

Do you think that would because the EPG won't run without a TV tuner? I've been looking for a USB tuner that will work in VMWare.

Yup, that's the entire cause of it. I'm going to be setting up a real MCE machine in the next few days and seeing if I am able to copy the registry settings to the VM. I'll let you know if it works. Keep me posted on anything you find.
