it would be nice to have some bug tracking software associated with either just the GB-PVR plugins, or with the whole of GB-PVR. I think it would make it much easier to keep tabs on what issues have been reported, and if/when they will be fixed. certainty much easier than the forums.

but sub, and the plugin/skin developers would have to agree to use it, to make it actually effective. Smile

This has been discussed before and deemed to be unsuitable. As it's a free product and both GB-PVR and all the plugins are produced by people working on their own accord and in their own time, it is too much to ask for a system that will pressure them into fixing problems and adding features etc.

As for keeping tabs on bugs etc I think the forums does an OK job. For my plugins and projects I have recently started using a wiki which has been a great help in managing tasks and bugs but I don't think it would be something I would like to be public ie having forum users adding bugs reports and so on. It's just not suitable for my way of working and the type of project this is.

I expect other developers have similar systems to keep track of things so even tho from the forums it looks like we forget things I would like to think this is not the case (at least most of the time).

bugzilla has the "insiders" group, which is only viewable to other insiders, this type of thing could work for sub and reven.

youre probably right, but I will admit that I work where bug tracking is mandatory, so I am just used to it.

Yes its the same where I work but word is work. It's just not suitable for individual developers working during their free time IMO.
