I have just bought my second MVP. Both will be connected to two 4:3 CRT TV's. I'm thinking of buying a new wide screen TV, so can I run one MVP as 4:3 and one as 16:9?

If not I guess I'll need to buy two TV's - DOH!

When it comes to the MVP, GB-PVR doesnt really have any control over the aspect ratio. You can boot the Hauppauge MVP software briefly to tell the MVP it is 4:3 or 16:9 and this info will be stored in the flash memory of that device and used automatically when GB-PVR attempts to play files on that device, though this wont mean much more than the MVP cutting off the sides of a widescreen video if you attempt to play it on the 4:3 TV.

When it comes to the menu screens etc, the GB-PVR interface will just be stretched to fill the screen regardless of whether its 16:9 or 4:3.

You could always use the mvpmc dongle with the config script shown in the following post:- http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28812&page=2
