Being in the USA you do have the option of using the Yahoo Grabber... Us Canadians have fewer choices...

I don't plan on whimping out. It's just a question of whether or notI can get it done before the wife wants me to get back to making money. When it comes to the wife, I will whimp out every time. Life is much easier that way. Big Grin

I have to do some updates to the Y! grabber before completing the GUI.

I chose not to write an HTML grabber for a few reasons. Other people were working on them. They typically take way to long to work for my liking. There is a much higher likelihood of the website changing and breaking the grabber, which means more work.

if you can still get into the guide on your machine,[i can] without a card installed, you can initiate a download immediately by right clicking on background and select 'get latest guide' Big Grin

I might have missed it but how do you configure multiple epgs in MCE? I put a pvr150 in the box and have my guide set up for cable. I also would like to set up my satellite channels. I have looked through MCE and have yet to figure out how to add a second setup. It either searches for sat channels or an IR blaster. I am stuck:confused:

You can't. MCE only supports a single lineup. That is why I made the downloader app. It effectively changes you lineup on command.

OOHHHHHHH. That's what the downloader is for........ Clever

Set up MCE with first lineup. Get the headend. Change the setup for the second lineup, get that headend...

Yup (sort of).

Set up MCE initially with your analog lineup (quickest download and setup but any will work).
Use the downloaders "list" option to get the list of headends for your area.
You can use "Mce05EpgDownloader list > headends.txt" to save them to a file.
Once you know the headends you want, run a batch file like:

Code:
rem Get analog tv lineup
Mce05EpgDownloader B40207-
Mce05Epg2XmlTv
rem get analog cable lineup
Mce05EpgDownloader KX16673-
Mce05Epg2XmlTv
rem get digital cable lineup
Mce05EpgDownloader KX16673X
Mce05Epg2XmlTv

I did find a couple of small issues with the downloader that I am working on patching.

That's one of the issues, after reseting the guide, it may not set the new guide. I'll have an update tonight for it but it may be late. Have to spend some quality time with the wife tonight.
