I am trying to install the WDM Software Recorder plugin but it only comes with a zip file and im not sure where to unzip it. They install.txt file didn't help
mainly just unzip to gbpvr dir...IIRC, some stuff goes in gbpvr\ and some in gbpvr\plugins\, so just unzip with dirs to gbpvr\ and that should take care of it..
it can be tricky in config, just add your capture source, and exit to save it...then go back in and configure it after it's saved...
Copy everything in the gbpvr distribution folder to your installed
gbpvr. The .config files are optional but it you exclude them,
then you have to copy the dshownet.dll into the main gbpvr folder.
Launch GB-PVR config, and add the 'WDM Software Encoder Recorder',
select settings and choose your video and audio input sources.
Continue your recording source configuration as normal.
I can't install the plugin. I tried to unzip the files from many ways but when I try to add my capture card It doesn't apearce in the list and the the plugin neither.

Do you have a capture card with WDM drivers installed? Does this card produce a picture in other apps?
Have a look on the forum. There was talk of needing to install some dlls from the software recorder plugin in 3 places (not sure why).
The 3 places (from memory - check this) are GBPVR directory, GBPVR\Plugins directory and GBPVR\Plugins\Software Recorder directory. - Really confusing.
I have wdm software recorder running on my machine and I get a superb picture (for watching). I need to play more with a software encoder to try to record. I have installed ATI AVIVO but dont have it configured yet.
The WDM software plugin can be made to work. There are lots of settings to play with though.
