EPG without source card?

Hi. Newbie, so please bare with me.
I've recently set up a grabber for an EPG from D1. I've pointed gbpvr to the xml file and I'm pretty sure its successfully identified all the channels because all the channels compile into a list when I press the "update channel info" button in the config program (I'm at work and don't have it in front of me to know the exact button name!). However, when I go into the actual media centre and try look at the guide it says I need to set up a source. Is it possible to see the tv guide without having a tv card? How do i get it to just display the EPG without a tv card?
As mentioned, I'm new so if I've been way too vague/stupid pls be patient

go ahead and setup a source, use pvr150 as source, when it asks, are you sure, cuz one is not detected, say yes..
works for me....just don't try to watch it or schedule anything with it!
