I would almost be interested in seeing a poll (same options) of those that can't use Schedules Direct (ie: non North America's who were not spoiled by Zap2It) to see if they would be willing to pay Schedule Direct prices to have a reliable data feed. I think it would give an interesting perspective Wink I suspect the top answer would have a lot more votes.

It's good to see the speed at which things are going now that they've made their intentions known. I wouldn't be surprised if by this time next week or so we'll be able to sign up and/or use the service.
Today, I emptied my EPG and downloaded 15 days from Zap2it which usually only takes a few minutes for me and it took almost 12. Wonder if that means anything.

I won't, but I do not use one now. I have always done manual programming and background recordings, starting with WinTvCap on a Hauppauge PVR250. Once I've looked up a show I want to see (Yahoo! TV, Titan TV, Newspaper, Schedulebot, etc) entering the info for a manual timer recording seems trivial. I need to select the PC and tuner anyway. I wouldn't want to accidentally record "Heroes" from cable when it is available in HD OTA.

Of course, I've been a TV/VCR/Camcorder tech for 35 years and my VCRs were never blinking 12:00. Big Grin

I worked with the great group that got the MCE xmltv utility going (actually I just slowed them down with dumb questions.) While the system seems to be working flawlessly, I will be going the schedules direct route as well. I don't really have a philosophical problem with the utility, but I am sure that billy can push an update at any moment that will blow it out of the water. Therefore I think we need to make sure that schedule direct is viable (by supporting them)and can keep functioning to support our community. The WAF would plummet if the system went down at the beginning of the Fall season!

I'm there. I think the price is very reasonable. The thing I objected to most about the other T-thing is that I couldn't copy/edit recorded programs without lots of hacking.

Just tell me when to hit the "pay" button. Smile (which reminds me that I'm due for another donation to Sub....)

my problem is definitely that I have two media pcs in different locations and would not want to have two SD subscriptions to power them both. I'd like to just get one then maybe I'd debate it although $5/mo is pretty high, thats higher than xbox live.

You won't need that. You just transfer the database...

...unless they are in 2 completely different viewing areas.

Having two wives and families is hard enough, but he's tinkering with 2 pvrs too. There's a guy that can manage his time!
