Hi, I downloaded this new version as normal to my dads laptop (I've never installed gbpvr on this laptop before) and I just keep getting "The application failed to initialise properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application." :confused:

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me Big Grin

You may also want to consider switchin from the Nero decoder to something else. Its been known to cause problems for some users.

Thanks, sub, that fixed it. Should have thought to do this myself.

Nero is all we have to select from. Seems to work OK here but may investigate something else.

I'm guessing you either didnt install .net 2.0 or the updated Microsoft runtimes (vcredist_x86.zip).

Dont forget the Microsoft runtime aswell. It's not going to run without it.

I just updated and at first all went well, but at the very end, when it tried to launch the config screen, it threw a "gbpvr has encountered a problem error" and shut down. I started config and thankfully my tuners were there and all that config was good, but it went back to all defaults on the plugin and directory mvp and other pages. Odd. I reset them and it all seems to work.

Thanks for the hard work!

I forgot to back up my skin.xml, so here's the stuff from 1.08 to save you time. This is to fix having BOTH icons and Channel name, if you ONLY want icons. There is no easy option to change this (using 0, 1, 2, 3 gives you variousother options).
  • Subs skin.xml for 1.08 : Icon Only
  • Stubright's updated version for 1.08 : Icon only, makes gbpvr.exe and pvrx2.exe consistent
  • Stubright's 2nd updated version for 1.08
For those who want to tweak some more, see this post:
http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...tcount=124

Find C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\blue\TV Guide\skin.xml
Code:
<CompositeImage name="ChannelHeaderItem" size="20.5,9.0">
         <DrawRect loc="0,5" size="99,92" fillColor="Black"/>
         <DrawText text="@channelNumber" visible="@showIconAndName" loc="10,5" size="80,90" textStyle="ListingStyle"
align="Left" valign="center"/>
         <DrawImage filename="@channelIcon" visible="@showIconAndName" loc="10,5" size="80,90"/>
</CompositeImage>

Quote:
The items in red are percentage of the black box you see surrounding the icons. The first number being width, the second is height. The green is what percentage over and down from upper left corner of those black boxes.

Upgraded server and client without issue. Great job! I'm really impressed with all the entries in the changelog. You did ALL that in a months time?! Smile

Alright! Woo hoo! Thanks, Sub, I've been waiting for this before upgrading to 1.08.
