I've got two daughters (29 and 26). As far as the boys go, I decided early on to make the best of an inevitable situation. I told the girls that their boyfriends were very welcome to come visit. That way you get to see what they are like and if you treat them politely, you'll find that the no-hopers just fade away.

Also, engage them in casual conversation with a view to finding out what they do - that way you can get some payback for the expense of bringing the girls up. So if one of them is a decorator - you get the hall painted, if one of them is a mechanic - you get the car fixed - you get the idea? Big Grin

:p

Actually, I'm pretty happy with twins. At least with two, they mostly play together and keep each other occupied... except when one runs a distraction tactic so the other one can get into something she shouldn't. They can be quite crafty that way, but the bright side is they are learning teamwork. Big Grin

My son is now 10 weeks old.

Strangely enough, our GBPVR setup has been an absolute godsend for me and my partner. We can record the good stuff which is on in the evenings (when we're too knackered to watch) and instead watch it in the wee hours when doing the feedings!

She used to complain about all the time I spent fiddling getting things *just right*, now she complains if there is *any* downtime and demands that I fix it instantly! (not that it happens often, just the occasional screwup, usually by windows)

Congrats - it does get a little better as time goes on... well, at least until the little darling gets half way through his second year and then it's downhill all the way :p

I sometimes don't even tell my wife about technical projects until they are fully up and running and solid as a rock - so she thinks it's easy.
