NV12 Colorspace

What exactly is NV12? I searched google and it seems I should be using this instead of YUY2. I am using Dscaler 5. Is it suppose to enable hardware acceleration?

yep...or it does at least on my systems....on both ati and nvidia cards...
yuy2 is second best option...but for full accell., use NV12..
pretty much defaults on Dscaler are ok...

if you have skip problems, it's likely Dscaler itself..there's a bug with seeking in it..[not bad, but makes 'resume' buttons unusable]
also if you have ati, try the ati MPEG video decoder...
[you have to add yourself in config.xml, use "ATI MPEG Video Decoder"]
[not as efficient as dscaler, but skips work great..]
