Hello all.

Still playing around with all these settings to try and get everything just right!

My major problem right now (using a AVerTV M780) is very choppy video and audio. This happens only a few seconds after starting live tv and the audio cuts out very soon all together. The problems are fixed by simply hitting pause and then play again.

My other problem is aspect. All the analog channels (4:3) show up in widescreen. I've read some threads that say I need a different video decoder -- I'm currently trying the NVideo decoder -- but I can't find a list of decoders that might work out. Is there one specific one I should be using with the M780? There was nothing but "System Default" on the list before I installed the NVideo decoder.

The machine is very capable, and runs less then 10% CPU when all this chop is happening.

Pressing F7 makes a few changes, but doesn't actually change it to 4:3 at any point.

Slight tangent! What program can I use to get my overscan fixed? I have the resolution for my TV set up, but there is a little overscan I need to get rid of. I didn't see a GBPVR option if there is one.

Thanks for any help!

you need to set the aspect ratio in nvidia decoder to anomorphic/raw aspect ratio
and maybe change the television shape setting to what ever your tv is
these setting are both under tha playback tab in config

Thanks - found them. The NTSC is better now, but still a little stretched out... at least it appears to be. Could I just be seeing a little more then usual due to overscan?

When I switch between a NTSC and ATSC channel showing the same thing (in 4:3) the ATSC channel has less a picture. Weird.
