As I said, the conversion works great and MCE is pulling the EPG regularly, so this is not critical. (I do appreciate your help though.)
It's parsing the providers returned by the command line utility. Since the command line utility is erroring, the GUI sees no providers.

It makes no difference.

One thing I did notice:
1.0.0.6 does not support the "list" command. Use "list-headends" instead. Then make sure the headend ID you use matches the output exactly.

I don't have access to my MCE machine, right now, but this might solve it for me. I ran the "list" command first to see the exact headend id. I've noticed before that there are multiple zip codes with the same guide, and my local zip is not the label that usually gets used to reference the headend. I suspect when I use "list-headends" instead I'll see a headend ID that differs from what I used and the error will disappear. I'll let you know. Thanks for the help.

Edit: I spoke too soon. I'm on Machine #1 and I have remote login access to a machine (#2) on the same network as the MCE machine (#3). I logged into #2 from #1 and used a remote process execution utility to send and execute a batch file on the MCE machine (#3). "List-headends" gives the same error that "list" did. Error output looks unchanged. I've got a software firewall on #3. It usually warns when it's blocking (it can stop code injection, some directory access etc.), but I'll check the logs and make sure it's disabled when I get real access.

Hello,

I just downloaded your EPG utility, and installed it on Vista Home Premium, and I'm getting the following error when I run the GUI

"Vista or XP MCE Exporter should be installed in the same directory as the installer. Exiting......"

where do I get the Vista exporter, and where do I put it.

I did set up the guide with MCE and it is showing data. (I had to borrow a pvr 150 from my gbpvr machine to do it)

Thanks very much for your hard work.

It installed with the GUI. If you installed it to the Program Files folder or any other system folder, delete the folder and reinstall it to C:\EPG. It makes things run much smoother due to Vista's so-called "protections".

Sorry, forgot to mention that I did let it install to C\epg

and I know what you mean by Vista "protections" I've got them turned off.

Ok. Just look in the EPG folder and confirm you have MceEpg2XmlTv.exe and MceEpgDownloader.exe

If not, we can fix it easily.

The downloader is there, but the MceEPG2XMLTV is in a folder called
MceEpg_05 I moved it out to the plain c:\epg folder with the downloader.

The worked I've got it running now.

Thanks, I'll let you know if it works.

Yup. That was it. I've fixed the setup too. You can delete the MceEpg_05 folder as it's not needed.

Ok It ran and I got an output file, but when I try to load it into GBPVR my guide is blank, but I now have channel icons where the numbers used to be.

Getting closer........

Thanks for your help.
