Yea same thing happened to me mugun. I forgot there was no gui. Just start-run-cmd cd to where the .exe is saved so like c:\program files etc. once the directory is correct just run zap2xml.exe and it will show all the commands and just follow the website instructions.

It took me longer to figure out how to run the program then downloading and reconfiguring gbpvr with the new epg data.

I used to use Yapi2xml which was nice but yahoo messed it all up. I was about to jump to SD but then I read about this. Setup was easy and it's working quite nicely so far.

Guys, thanks for the help in getting the epg xml downloaded. i need another help, i have configured the xml plugin to update to gbpvr, but for some reason, it shows that it updated about 100 out of almost 380 channels that i downloaded and even the 100 channels showed in the update epg config does not show in TVguide. please let me know if am doing something wrong. i have downloaded several times, removed capture card and add again, empty epg and deleted cache to no avail. thanks for your help.

I think I have the same issue as the previous poster. After downloading the guide data and having the XML file set in the xmltv option in gbpvr, clicking update EPG doesn't do anything. It gives the saving channel information and all those status messages like it usually does but the TV guide is nothing but "(no show details)"... So I'm not sure what's up with that. Would appreciate some info or ideas. thanks

EDIT: FIGURED OUT MY (non)PROBLEM: I had forgotten to check the "Show only my favorites in the grid" option in the zap2it preferences. Got that checked and everything worked nicely. Mugun, you should check if you have that option selected, since I think we both had the same issue.

Anyway, all is well now and thanks for a wonderful program!

Decided to try this, and I'm only getting data for '1 channel', too. Looks like it has all the shows in one channel:
<channel id="I11628.labs.zap2it.com" />
No channel numbers show up in the cached files, but they do have listings.

Maybe they changed the site?

I was having some problems with this tool also. As I started scanning thru the XML, I noticed some data problems. Since Schedule Direct is now $20/yr (ie. $1.67/mo) (w/1 week free trial), I decided it was not worth all the time and frustration.

Took me 20 minutes to sign-up and reconfigure GBPVR and I am up and running again with I-XMLTV. Definitely worth the $1.67/mo for the ease-of-use and my sanity!!

I'm replacing yapi2xml with this. I think I have set everything up correctly, but I am getting "(no show details)" on the guide. All the correct channels are there, just no show info. Did I miss something?

Wink I figured it out...

Dumped the cache, re-ran the .bat file & emptied/updated the epg in gbpvr.
