That would be a GB-PVR thing. I don't know how or where to change it or if you even can, sorry.

here's a clip..the dupes are the chan_id #'s...?
Code:

    <display-name>450 RSPALT</display-name>
    <display-name>450</display-name>
    <display-name>RSPALT</display-name>
    <display-name>Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>450 Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>(RSPALT) Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>450 (RSPALT) Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>

    <display-name>451 RSPALT</display-name>
    <display-name>451</display-name>
    <display-name>RSPALT</display-name>
    <display-name>Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>451 Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>(RSPALT) Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>451 (RSPALT) Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>

    <display-name>452 RSPALT</display-name>
    <display-name>452</display-name>
    <display-name>RSPALT</display-name>
    <display-name>Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>452 Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>(RSPALT) Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>452 (RSPALT) Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>

    <display-name>453 RSPALT</display-name>
    <display-name>453</display-name>
    <display-name>RSPALT</display-name>
    <display-name>Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>453 Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>(RSPALT) Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>
<display-name>453 (RSPALT) Regional Sports Alt. Message Channel</display-name>

not the channels themselves..jsut the id's..
other than that, it's working great..

Due-North Wrote:I'm trying to sort out if it is possible to see the channel # instead of station call-sign in my recording lists. In the TV Guide I have channel # followed by call-sign on the left side. When I select a show to record, only the call-sign is displayed, not the channel #. Additionally when I review my recordings, they only have the call-sign, not the channel #.

I seem to remember in ver .97 I would see the channel # in the recording screens instead of call-sign.

Is this a GB-PVR setting, or is it related to my change in EPG from Zap2It to MceEpg2XmlTv?

i believe <TVGuideChannelHeaderType>1</TVGuideChannelHeaderType>
is the one you need to change...search for it to find out the meanings of 1,2,3 for options..

I'm aware of this issue but have not had the time to fix it. When I switched to using the ID instead of the channel number, I didn't update the duplicate handling logic to check the ID.

For now, you'll have to use the includes/excludes.

cool...excludes won't work cuz i need those channels..
also i noticed i don't get as much 'extra' info with ixmltv...

was wondering if you could just add the 'renumber' function to the old cmdline version.. it works great with i-xmltv and i find much easier to setup for my funky 3 lineups..
thanx

Renumber still works on the commandline version. It won't renumber the IDs though.

How are you able to get I-xmltv working with the output from MceEpg2xmltv?

I thought it was broken because it wanted to work with three digit channel numbers, and the output changed to 4 digits...

That's why I started to add some builtin enhancments with the GUI, starting with adding the original airdate to the description which is default in I-XMLTV... The New Show Marker was added by whurlston. Those are the only two enhancments that I wanted, but I know others want more features.

I stopped including I-XMLTV in the GUI because it wouldn't work...

i wanted renumber addded in the old cmdline version from wiki..the Mce05Epg2XmlTv.exe ver.
it still works just fine for me with I_xmltv except my digitals, which need the renumber function to weed out the analogs..

i find this combo gives the most added info, and seems to handle everything well...lots of nice options in the regular I-xmltv too..Smile

and i like the 'viewability' of the data as well..if you're just making up the id's, use them to your advantage and make easily readable for error searches..
[that way no need to cross-ref the id's to know what channel a show entry is]

it really enhances the usability of my guide..Big Grin
i love the dates in the subtitles...for shows that have no episode details..
only way to know if it's a rerun...[Daily Show!]

The IDs are not made up. They are extracted from the MCE EPG database. They are actually a hashed version of the TMS ID but I didn't bother trying to decode the hash.

yea, wasn't a big fan of the way TMS uses those id's...not really a part of xmltv spec i don't think....their methods can be inconsistent at times..

got my first error today..easily fixed tho...the default I-xmltv.ini has # of actors at 99, which can make for too long lines in xml...set back to 9 and no problem..Big Grin
[i'm pretty sure they're in order of importance, eg. lead actors, then supporting.]
guess i'll stick with old version and the new one for digitals only...
