MCE IR blaster trouble

First up let me say great application. Very customisable ( is that a word? ). I am using 1.0.16 on a Core 2 Duo machine running Windows Media Centre Edition at the same time. I use MCE because I run XBox extenders too. I run GBPVR because MCE won't let me mix analogue tuner inputs with AV input from a SKY decoder.
No great problem there. Conceptually it works. I have MCE recording TV1 TV2 TV3 C4 & Prime (I'm in Auckland) from a Hauppauge PVR250 dual tuner card. I have GBPVR configured to use an external tuner ( a Hauppauge PVR USB2 external tuner) which is plugged in to the SKY box. I've configured GBPVR to use the MCE IR Blaster to change SKY channels.
I use XMLTVNZ for the EPG

Now to my problem - The IR blaster will only works for 15 minutes or so to change SKY channels. After that it doesn't even flash it's little red lights.

Any ideas?

maybe mce is taking it over would be my guess
i still dont get why you bother using both
have you heard of comskip you cant use that on mce just wondering why
plus using revens xmltv listings is easier i reckon on gbpvr

It's true. If I stop the MCE scheduler service, GB-PVR can use the IR Blaster happily.
I use both because I want MCE so I can use XBox extenders, & I need GB-PVR because MCE won't allow mixed inputs. i.e. You can do external cable box or internal tuner, not both.

So my next question is, Does anyone know how I can stop Media Centre Scheduler from grabbing the IR blaster

i think you may have problems cause to get your xbox extenders to work you need mce to be running (im guessing here i dont have or even know what xbox axtenders are)
give me a quick run down ofhow an exbox extender works
