I have noticed this once or twice before since using pvrx2 in 1.0.16. I have a prv150 with one tuner card and I currently show "good news: no conflicts" . However if I look at my pending recordings, I have
Starter Wife: Hour 6 Pending 8/10/2007 10:00 pm-11:00 pm on 6 chro ; and
Journeyman: Game 3 Pending 8/10/2007 10:01 pm- 11:00 pm pm 3 CIIOT

When I look at the TV Guide, only Starter Wife shows as scheduled to record (thus explaining the no conflict message). I have also installed the tv listings plugin but I wouldn't think that would cause the pendings screen to display the two programs when only one can be recorded.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? It is not causing me a lot of concern as I can manually check for conflicts but if there is something I can do to fix it, I would like to.

Where were the recordings scheduled from?

I've not aware of any occurrances of this happening with the built in stuff, which makes me suspect something else created the recordings in the database and did incorrectly (TV Listings, EWA, something else..?).

I'm not entirely sure where I indicated my desire to record these shows: it would most likely be the plugin TV listings or the regular TV guide. I will artificially try to reproduce the problem using both the tv guide and tv listings and see what happens.

I have been able to schedule two recordings a the same time with just one tuner (although I am sure I will only get one recording) with each of the TV Guide and the plugins SearchWiz2 and TV Listings. Normally when I use either SearchWiz2 or TV Listings and try to record something at a time when something else is recorded, the plugin gives a message that I am unable to do so because something else is already scheduled to be recorded.

Could this be a timestamp issue? I tried to attach my logs just in case that helps, but winzip encountered a problem that I couldn't deal with. It seems as if it won't let me winzip the files if the pvrx2 program is open. This is the winzip message I received. My logging level is "debug" but I have not checked the box for flush log messages to disk.

Reproduce the problem with the TV Guide, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

How many capture sources do you have listed in the capture sources tab of the config app?

Quote:It seems as if it won't let me winzip the files if the pvrx2 program is open.
The obviously answer is to close it before zipping the files.

I reproduced the problem most recently with the TV Guide and have attached the logs. Thank you for looking at this.

Can you enable log flushing first, then reproduce the problem with the TV Guide, then zip and attach the logs? Also, what were names/times of the shows you schedule for the same time?

In this log, you should be able to see "no conflicts" despite the following two recordings that are scheduled at the same time.

Starter Wife: Hour 6 Pending 8/10/2007 10:00 pm-11:00 pm on 6 chro ; and
Journeyman: Game 3 Pending 8/10/2007 10:00 pm- 11:00 pm pm 3 CIIOT

I will edit this post in 1.5 hours to let you know which show gets recorded.

I'm still not seeing what I want to in the logs. The most recent PVRX2.exe.log file in that zip file shows the app has been running for a long-ish time, and log flushing is disabled. (I think you've tried to enable it, but forgot to restart PVRX2.exe)

What I want you to do, is exit out of the PVX2.exe, make sure log flushing is enabled in the config app, then restart PVRX2.exe, go into the TV Guide and reschedule to shows for an same time, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log.

logs attached . I deleted one of the recordings scheduled for 10 pm in my last post and then went into the TV guide and scheduled it again. In the TV guide and the list of pending recordings, it is clear that there are two shows scheduled and I am really sure that I only have one tuner with my pvr150. The message showing in conflicts is still "good news: no conflicts".

I noticed a log.zip file in my recycled bin. I assume that's what happens when you enable log flushing. I also assume that "enable log flushing" should be the the option I use most of the time unless I get a specific instruction or reason not to flush the logs.

p.s. I only have one channel source in my config panel and it is from schedules direct.
