Sorry for all the questions but I ran the app on the MCE machine and it created the xml file. I updated the epg and restarted the recording service but when I look at the guide in gbpvr I have all the channels but no data. I'm sure it's something simple I'm just missing but I can't seem to figure out what that might be.

The most common cause of this is a duplicate channel. Zip and post your gbpvr\logs directory and I should be able to tell you which channel it is.

There were a lot of logs in there. This one was just the most recent that had any reference to the channels. I noticed there were three on the bottom 70, 71 and 76 that were in fact duplicates but I wasn't sure how to remove them from using this.

One other thing I just barely noticed is that my channels only go up to 92 even though they should be much higher then that.

This is probably also due to the duplicate channel issue.

From your logs:

XMLTV: error reading xml: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: '181277558' Key being added: '181277558'

Open your XML file in notepad. Find all <channel> tags that have id="181277558" and then add the channels to an exclude.txt file.

Instructions on the exclude.txt can be found in the first post of this thread. There should be an example file in your Configs\Samples folder as well.

I'm still not getting any data and it's only showing 92 channels. I've included in this one logs from gbpvr and from the epg folder that the app. creates. I don't know if that helps.

PS: I added a copy of the exclude file as well just in case I hadn't done that right. The file is in C:\EPG\Configs\DITV523-\exclude that's correct isn't it?

It helps. Your exclude.txt is in the wrong format. It should be:

; Add a semicolon at the beginning of the line to comment out.

HDTVINF

That is the correct location.

Or should it be the whole thing that you wrote there. I tried it both ways and it didn't seem to work.

Anything that has a semicolon at the beginning is considered a comment and is ignored. In the above example, I commented out the channel numbers and used the callsign to exclude all of those channels. If you want to use channel numbers, remove the semicolon at the beginning of each channel number.

If you are using the GUI, the exclude.txt location may be different.

I know using the batch files you don't need to re-download the EPG to test your include and exclude files since they don't appear to affect the EPG data. I assume the GUI is the same.
