Hi all.

1. I'm having a problem saving my Language to English US. Keeps defaulting back to English.

2. I'm a little out of the loop, just recently updated my GBPVR from 0.92.11 ... is there another location available on the NET for free TV listings. I did use ZAP2IT.com ... but apparently that doesn't work anymore.

3. Also, sometimes playback on XVID/DIVX has a delay between the audio and video. Its hit and miss ... anything I can try?

Thanks all!

From memory you need to ensure your English US file has the first half dozen or so translation lines that you'll find in the other files, otherwise this happens.

There are some free ones, but to be honest I dont think they're worth the time. I'd just pay the $20 and get the year's worth of listings from www.schedulesdirect.org.

All I can suggest for this is try installing different audio/video decoders.

Thanks for the quick response.

Still having some problems with my first question. Tried renaming and compared all the lines ... everything looks very similar.

You put the file in the languages directory?

There were multiple language translation files already in the 'languages' directory. What file should I be looking to modify and move?

Thanks again.

Create a new file in that directory with an appropriate name, then edit SelectLanguage.xml to add the new lanuage definition.

Now I have an even bigger problem ...

I'm starting to get the error attached. I've tried System Restore Points and starting from scratch and I can't seem to rid this error. Even uninstalling and reinstalling, that includes the .NET framework. The Config menu does load sometimes and many options are missing.

Any ideas?

It sounds like you've broken one of the xml files in your attempt to edit it. Whichever xml file it was has an error on line 289, position 45.

I blew away everything and started from scratch and everything worked ... lost most of my settings. :-(

Are there "recommended" Video/Audio Decoders for MPEG-2 Playback? Currently I'm using InterVideo NonCSS.

Also, the Video Renderer I'm using is "Overlay Manager". Would VMR9 work better, if so how would I get this to work on my system?

Thanks all ... and that's it for questions ... for now! :-)

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/EPG lists all the EPG options. Although I use schedules direct I created a yahoo api program that works pretty well.

For your divx/xvid issues try a different codec.
