Hello to all users in the forum.

I'm from Spain and I'm trying to use GBPVR, but I don't know how to get an EPG for my country.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks a lot for every answer, regards.

Hi babybob, thanks a lot. I have a question. I suppose that I have to install xmltv software, haven't I?. I think I was having an error about understanding, because I thank that I would only need a simple file, and I was wrong, wasn't I?

I  will dive into xmltv a little bit more. Sorry if I ask simple questions, but I'm not an experienced user of computers. Thanks again.

Yes, you will need to install the xmltv software that babybob linked to.

Once configured it will download the tv listings for the channels you requested to a single file. You then point gb-pvr to this file which then populates the epg.

rpintor, this thread has some instructions on how to get it working.  There may be other threads in the forum also, but this is the one I used when my Zap2It wasn't working for awhile.

Thanks cwills and bluesxman. I have started to use xmltv. I will explain it:

1. Download xmltv for windows in the PC of my job-point (I'm trying to use GB-PVR because of my job, it's true!Wink, unfortunately, I can not work with Linux, only with Windows XP...

2. Unzip and read README, and the documents about how to use xmltv from the command line (really want to use Linux, then).

3. To start configure tv_grab_es, run:

>> xmltv.exe tv_grab_es --configure

Then it starts to build an configuration file, but it fails, it says:

"getting list of channels: could not fetch http://www.elpais.es/parrillatv/portada.html, aborting"

Does anybody know how to continue?

Thanks again and again

I kind of like tvxb. You can find it here.. They also have a Spanish .ini file which apparently gets 19 channels for you. Give it a try and see if it works for Spain.

Hi hasso, very useful, thanks.

I think I'm having the same problem, that with tv_grab_es for xmltv. When I try to run wget on command line, windows xp says a 403.

Do you know if it could be Service Pack 2? I think that it can be the problem...

Thanks again

Hi all again.

Finally, it was a problem with my domain server. It has an ISA Server that only provides internet output to certain programs, so wget was not included.

Great programs, bad domain master...

Thanks everybody for your answers...

Regards
