In live preview mode tv press the FUNC button (ctrl-O). Then type a page number and press OK.

no wonder i couldnt get it to work, using new remote (took the batteries out of my old remote and put it away since i was to lazy to fix the irremote.ini file [Image: smile.gif]). sub in the next release can you make the "text/*" the button to bring up teletext. that button makes sense.
cheers.

How do I use teletext subtitles such that I can still see the picture?
Have others used this successfully? i.e. do the subtitles update sufficiently quickly to keep in sych with the programme?

I've not been using it for subtitles, so it probably wont show it transparent. You could try visit a subtitle page, and see if the Microsoft component I use for teletext automatically shows subtitle pages transparent.

I tried CTRL+O, 888 and this shows subtitles but....
1. the rest of the page is black
2. the subtitles do not seem to update regularly - I can't tell for definite since I cannot see the picture!
Is the any hope....?

Very little. I just use a Microsoft component to show teletext. The only control I have over it is to make it visible, and tell it to show a specific page.

Thanks Sub, what about asking microsoft? They may have one already or be willing to modify or create a new 'component'?
