Hey, just curious to see if anyone has had success with the schedule function in xrecord. I'm still at a loss with it
Thanks!
Thanks!

What are you trying to do? Where are you having problems. Maybe Jorm, Jrock, or I can answer your questions.
I know that a new version of XRecord is in the works that will simplify the management and setting up of the recordings for the scheduler.

take a look at my file... why is it messed up looking for 'denzel washington'?
I added what KingArgyle put, and it worked--though i want just newer episodes, so i hope that if i tweaked that one setting it still works. Then I added a few more (through xrecord), and the next thing i know, it pretty much pended to record every show in every slot in one of the channels. that was not a fun way of spending 10 minutes deleting them all one by one. Do i have to manually edit the priorityrecording file to make this work? I have deleted everything and added (in xrecord) 'denzel washington'. the results this time were the exact same, every d*m show in one of station recorded for the entire week. please help below is my priorityrecordingfile: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <GBPVR d1p1:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\PriorityRecordings.xsd" xmlns:d1p1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <Configuration> <MissingRecordingPriority>0</MissingRecordingPriority> <Conflicts>Delete</Conflicts> <DuplicatesAllowed>Yes</DuplicatesAllowed> </Configuration> <Recording type="Season" priority="11"> <Channel>44</Channel> <ProgramName>newlyweds: nick &amp; jessica</ProgramName> <RecordingType>New Episodes</RecordingType> <Quality>Medium</Quality> <CaptureSource>1</CaptureSource> <Duplicates> <Recorded>No</Recorded> <Scheduled>No</Scheduled> </Duplicates> <LimitDays> <DaysOfWeek>Wednesday</DaysOfWeek> </LimitDays> <Padding> <PrePadding>3</PrePadding> <PostPadding>3</PostPadding> </Padding> </Recording> <Recording type="All" priority="11"> <Search> <GuideDescription> <TextSearch>denzel washington</TextSearch> </GuideDescription> </Search> <RecordingType>All Episodes</RecordingType> <Quality>Medium</Quality> <CaptureSource>1</CaptureSource> <Duplicates> <Recorded>No</Recorded> <Scheduled>No</Scheduled> </Duplicates> <LimitDays> <DaysOfWeek>Wednesday</DaysOfWeek> </LimitDays> <Padding> <PrePadding>2</PrePadding> <PostPadding>2</PostPadding> </Padding> </Recording> </GBPVR>

I will take a look at this.
I just want to make sure that I understand the problem- All shows on channel 11 - the channel with Denzel - are getting recorded with you priority file? I won't be able to get to this untill the weekend, I'm out of town on business.

Two problems I see here.
1. You have two recordings with the same priority. They need to be different priorities. 2. Make denzel washington, Denzel Washington. There is a bug in XRecord v16 where it puts everything in as lower case. Next version of XRecord should take care of both of these bugs.

i assume that the case of the letters matters when it's doing its query? I'll change the priorities. i hope that works.
What it was doing is recording every show on the first channel (for me it's channel 2).

You want to make the same change for the ProgramName element as well. Change your newlyweds to Newlyweds: Nick &amp; Jessica

I have updated the CDK scheduler - now does multiple capture sources and fixes the lost/west wing problem).
I ran your priority file through the new scheduler and it went perfectly (i fixed the lcase issue in your file). The new scheduler should be out shortly. |
