Thanks a million!! 218 was marked wrong in the XML file. That's not the learning channel, it's the Jemstone channel!! TLC vs TJC. How does that happen? It must have come down from the MCE guide, right? Oh, if it happens again, it would be in the same log file, right? Or a newer one like config.exe-1.log right?

And that fixed the whole thing!! I have a guide now. After fighting for like 4 hours, you fix it in like 3 minutes. Just 2 more quick guide questions and then I'll go bother someone else about remotes.
1. I only see 2 hours at a time in the guide, and I am used to like 3-4, is that fixable? If so, where?
2. I saw an option for 3 digit tuning, but nothing for 4 digit. I assume GB-PVR doesn't yet do 4 digit tuning, am I correct on that?

Thanks again,
Richard
P.S. I swear someone snuck in here and added that error, I did look!!

It will not be in the config log again unless you do an "Update EPG" from the config. I think it's in the recordingservice.exe.log for normal nightly updates.

Only 2 hours is possible in the current build. I think sub mentioned plans to increase it but I'm not sure.

I don't know to be honest. I would ask in the support forum and sub (or someone else) will be able to answer.

Ok so sorry but I'm back. Should this be automatically updating? I lost my guide data so I assummed not. I tried to update it manually and I got the attached error. I looked in the log and on top of the error I'm showing another duplicate channel. Should I just worry about that or is there something else I should be doing here.

Your guide is not updating because:
Code:
2007-11-12 09:16:27.737    ERROR    [4]    XMLTV: error reading xml: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: '28461411'  Key being added: '28461411'
Disable duplicate channels.

I would guess that this is contributing to the error you are getting:
Code:
2007-11-12 09:16:32.834    VERBOSE    [4]    About to get list of existing channels...
2007-11-12 09:16:33.083    VERBOSE    [4]    Found: 1500 channels
You should clean out the channel list.

I actually got it working. I had to add another channel to the exclude list and update it on the MCE PC. Kind of strange that a new one just popped up like that. Also, I have a couple channels that show up in GBPVR on my PC with MCE on it but when I use the same xml file on the other PC those channels don't show info. I don't really understand that. It should be the same on both shouldn't it?

mce to xmltv has stopped showing show details in gbpvr. it loads the channel listing but it shows no show details. i checked out the xml in notepad and it seems the there are show details there. i have installed a fresh copy of gbpvr and installed mce to xmltv. the xml file is about 21 megs. the digital lineup headend still seems to working right. which is only 8 channels.
am i missing something?

Might be two things. In GB-PVR | Capture sources, the tuners and xmltv plugin are not pointing to the generated xmltv.xml (or whatever you've named it) file or you don't have the mce2xml program in the updateEPG.bat so GB-PVR isn't told to update...

That happened to me a while ago. I knew that the data was coming over, just not getting into the TV-Guide.

dont know if that fixed it but i tracked down what channel that was and added to exclude list and seems to be working now.
