In this thread sgilani is looking for TVDB to be the lookup of choice, so ripped DVD can find TV shows with eposides. Not sure if it can be done, but there you go, a roundabout request!

Cheers

Just to say I hadn't heard of this before, and I am quite impressed - thetvdb.com is a much better pvr resource than tv.com ever was - full listings with episode pictures for the first three series I checked, and all xml-grabber compliant. If you could implement this as an alternate info source for tv shows it would be great.

cheers,

TheTvDb.com will be in next version. I am working on allowing user to pick search order for scrapers, that will be in a later release.

Hi JavaWiz,

I noted a problem with the latest update (1.0.11.2). I think the problem is related to the manager not embedding the movie cover image into database as it should. The latest version now doesn't display the missing cover (it did before).

The real problem is that does it not now allow me to attach a movie cover from a local file at all - a serious break.

BTW, I have "Save images in db" option ticked.

Cheers,
Dan

I don't know what I did...

Well, I do know what I did which was (in V1.0.11.0):
  • opened S/A MovieWizManager to check it was working
  • started pvrx2, picked Movie Wizard to check it too
  • shut down pvrx2
  • installed V1.0.11.2
  • opened S/A MovieWizManager to check it was working
  • started pvrx2 - Movie Wizard not there
  • opened config - Movie Wizard not there
What I don't know is what I did wrong. Sadly the error msgs in the logs are beyond my understanding at this time:o

OK, I just discovered this plugin, looks very cool, thanks!

However, I seem to be having a problem when trying to load new titles. It shows a list, but when I click 'Load' on the Add Content screen, it crashes.

This is the error I get from windows:

EventType : clr20r3 P1 : config.exe P2 : 1.0.2871.9900 P3 : 20
P4 : mscorlib P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 461eee3d P7 : f34 P8 : 0
P9 : system.io.filenotfoundexception

And this is the only error I see in the Config.exe.log

2007-11-25 21:09:35.968 ERROR [1] HttpImageGrabber: loadEPGuideCache()- Error on add:An item with the same key has already been added.

Any ideas?

Sometimes it will load the title far enough that when I go to manage content (after reloading the config app), it is on the list. I have to change the title, but then the image and detail lookups work.

Any help appreciated

Thanks,

Brian

I cannot create the problem that you are describing. Could you zip your db and post?

Run the config, cause the error and post the full log, I'll take a look.

Looks like a DLL problem. Make sure WizUiHelper.DLL and WizWebHelper.DLL are ONLY found in Plugins/common. They should NOT be in the GBPVR root directory (or any other directory).

If you only find them in plugins/common, run the WizDllInfoHelper and post the results.

I've created a small example database to illustrate some problems. I cannot add a thumbnail image via "Local Lookup" at all. It also raised an exception handler looking up Aeon Flux in IMDB.

I would appreciate any assistance to resolve. Can I regress to previous version? Sad

Bewildered,
Dan
