Build 68 of EWA has been released. You can download it here or on the wiki.

This upgrade requires GBPVR 99.12 or higher to work.

Date: 2007-11-28 Build Number: 68 Changes:
  • UncleJohnsBand: Corrected saved search time and date issue that was introduced in build 66.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added Auto Record functionality that works just like the Auto-Search functionality except that it sets programmes found in the search to record.
    • Auto-Search Note: Reminders in GBPVR have been depreciated for now. This means that Auto-Search may not set your programme reminders. This does not impact the new Auto-Record functionality.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Update search results table view to include channel number in the channel column.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Corrected some general CSS issues.
    • Allow Search entry screen to scroll.
    • Correct shift of Manual Record button when server time displayed on Search screen.
    • Correct recording filter selection bar wrapping issue.
    • Correct search results displaying date format in short date format instead of long date format.
    • Correct sort issue on the Air Date in Search Results.
    • Correct button CSS display issue on Search page.
    • Correct button CSS display issue on Detail pop-up.
    • Correct IMDB icon not appearing on all programmes in Manage Recordings and Search Results.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Added streamer setting CSS based screen.
    • To acccess the Stream Settings CSS page go to Library2.aspx and click on the Stream Settings button.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Added CSS based player screen.
    • To acccess the CSS Player go to Library2.aspx and click on the Stream or Stream All button or click he Stream Now button from the Details2 popup.
    • CSS Note: Theme colors are for contrast only.....this is not an actual theme color scheme.
    • CSS Note: Please post feedback/bugs in the EWA CSS Guide sticky thread located in the EWA support forum.
    • CSS Note: Slowly but surely I am getting through these.....hopefully not too much longer until all screens are complete and I will create a real theme for the CSS interface.

I've got a wishlist item for the new auto-search auto-record facility .... Big Grin

Now that Auto-record is a winner (THANK YOU UJB, AWESOMENESS) having a day search would allow you to autosearch for shows between a certain time range on a certain day, so that repeats were avoided.

e.g. lets say you knew that the live showing was every Monday and the repeats later in the week at the same time (or even different times), then having Monday as a filter means the date doesn't throw the auto-record and you don't get two shows at identical time ranges...

What is auto record? Does it let you set up a search that will be repeated until the show is found and then records it? That would be great.

It will set a single recording for any programme that is found based off of the search criteria entered. It will continue to set recordings for matching programmes until you turn off the auto record flag for the search.

So say there is some movie that I want to record that isn't currently in the program guide. I set up an auto record. If that movie ever shows up in the guide will auto record catch it and set a recording?

Looking forward to trying this. I like recording music shows (especially stuff like BBC Sessions and Old Grey Whistle Test Stuff) which tend not to have regular channel/time slots - This looks ideal...

Could I make another one of those trivial UI type suggestions... you could make the appearance of your footer frame more consistent across a wider range of browser window widths if you aligned the copyright and links section to the top left of the frame and moved the colour legend section underneath it. This would reduce the chance of the footer frame needing a vertical scroll bar. And unless there is some technical reason for having the Statistics button in the footer, I would move it back to be a tab next to the Config tab.

Suggestions are always welcome! Big Grin

The statistics link is at the bottom because at the top it would cause the screen to scroll at 800x600.

That said....It looks fine at 1024x768. According to Browser News 1024x768 is now used by approx. 82% of users. So I could adjust my thought on this and move it back to the top. Wink

Thks for that - afraid I just assumed most people were using at least 1024x768 - I hadn't taken the time to research it like you have.
