Skin Idea

I'm not exactly sure where to post this.

I first started messing around with GB's skins to see if I could learn a few Photoshop tricks really. So it's always been on the graphical side for me, I really don't have the coding abilities to release a proper skin for the community, but I've had a few people comment on the latest idea I've been working on. So I thought I'd see if anyone with real skinning abilities might be interested in working on my very rough idea.

I've attached a few thumbs, it's mainly just a background and task images, but I'd really like to give back to a community I've gotten a lot from, if even in a tiny way.

Nice work! Yes would be good if you guys got together and added this to the community skin, of course if not that's still good as would be nice to have a new skin!

McBainUK, I never even thought of the Community Skin, my apologies. After your suggestion I downloaded that and the skin plugin and I've been messing around with it. My problem really is that I've always just edited the default blue skin and bodged everything together (up at bit, down a bit, all by eye). I'll probably need to rethink how I put things together for the Community Skin.

Would you be interested in taking a look at the skin folder I've bodged together and giving me a few pointers (file resolutions and uniformity)

Assuming you've used some baseskin.xml techniques it should be a relativity simple task to get your skin "CommunitySkin-3-a-fied". It's mainly the naming of common images and then working through any of your custom layouts, for example the TV guide.

If the skin folder is not to big (<10mb) then feel free to mail it to me. Address is on my forum profile.
