I just noticed a change with GBPVR 1.1.5 I can no longer play digital radio in live tv mode (I checked with both VMR9/EVR) but I can play the file while it is being recorded. Have either of you seen this?

danielpugh Wrote:just wandering if you managed to make any progres... i'd love to test.I managed a Heath-Robinson sort of affair with a command-line EXE that could be started/stopped from a plugin. The EXE wrote an ever-increasing mp3 file to disk which could be played back using the native GB-PVR 'play audio' method. Alex (ACTCMS) was looking at the plugin side of things but we came to a bit of a halt (work commitments on my part). I'm keen to look at it again to see what else needs to be done to perhaps make a Beta version available with obvious caveats etc. One key thing that needs to be addressed is preventing conflicts with normal GB-PVR activity. I'll take a look at this tonight hopefully. Cheers, Brian

I will add to this thread, DVB radio needs to be added in, the service is there and the software needs to be able to take advantage of it. It completes the media centre application and helps sell it to the wife.
Its a big wish for me, some other MC's do it very well, unfortunatley there's alot that they dont do well.

Thought: a lot of us are keen to see DVB-T radio, at least half a dozen of us on this thread. Would we be willing to put our hands in our pockets to fund its development? I'd be more than happy to pledge £10 or so, over and above what I've already donated, towards the time sub would have to spend to add something he's said is a low priority for him to this excellent bit of software. Would others who posted here als be willing to contribute? If so, would sub be interested; I realise he does this for non-financial reasons, and that he may not want other people setting the direction of his project, but if enough of us are willing to chip in it could be a nice little bonus...

The subject of paying for specific features has been discussed before and dismissed. Good idea tho.

Good idea tho.Whoa...hold on there McBainUK - TomJ could bung ME 10 quid if he wants to though. :p Only joking TomJ - you don't need to send money I aim to have a DVB-T Radio plugin available for public release (Beta) in the next couple of weeks. It needs to go for some private testing first and relies on a couple of things in the upcoming release of gbpvr (thanks sub). It's for 'listening' only at the moment (recording etc. is more involved). I'll keep you posted. Cheers, Brian |
