I have a MCE 2a - works fine out of the box but there's a couple of keys I think could be better used.

Info Button - to me that should show extra info, such as the OSD {Ctrl-B} but its currently assigned to {Home} which toggles between Menu & Insert/Video.

Which takes me to the other Button - The "Windows" button - its unused and would be ideal for assigning the {Home} key.

Just my thoughts,

thanks - Lindsay

Sorry, I'm unlikely to change this.

There is a good reason why this button was used for its current purpose. A large number of remotes have the letter 'i' on the this button but the word 'Menu' underneath it. Its was only changed to 'i/More' on the MCE 2005 remote.

Microsoft have made it very difficult for applications to use the green Windows button, so I have to stay away from that one - I dont want to make users change drivers so I can get access to that button. This is too much to ask the users to do for a standard install.

Speaking of the "i" button, if I press that while in LiveTV or watching a recording, GBPVR goes back to the main menu with the LiveTV/Recording on the left side. But there is no way to get back to watching the program. I believe it use to work that if you pressed the Back or the "i" button again, it would go back to full screen.

You should be able to press it again to return to fullscreen.

Hmmm... then this isn't working, or it's just me... I'll try it again tonight and attach logs for you.

Using HIP and the alternate MCE drivers you can reprogram any button on the MCE remote to do what you want, and to do different things in different programs. So, for example, I have the green button starting PVRX2 from the desktop, and the Power button quitting it (Alt-F4). Within GBPVR/PVRX2, the Green Button changes aspect ratios (F7) and I've set the My TV button to toggle in and out of Windowed mode (Alt-Enter). I also use th color buttons to do different things on the desktop to what they do in GBPVR.

I guess what I'm saying is that if you want to change what the keys natively do in GBPVR (provided GBPVR has a keyboard shortcut or remote combination for it), then it might be worth exploring what HIP can do. The Wiki has good information on HIP.

SUB, if I press the "i" button or home key after entering livetv from tv guide it returns to tv guide but the inset window cover a "giant" part of it (the same size and place used on first menu screen inset).

It also looks that tv guide don´t respect the inset option inside the skin like every other screen.

Does it happen to every one or it´s just my system?
