Hi all,

I need to get a large font skin working with ML2 on an MVP. Blue-Retro-SHV looks good, but when I try to select ML2, it crashes the MVP. Is there any way to get this to work, or is there another large font skin to try that works out of the box?

Thanks,

Paul.

depends if anyone has made a skin for it.

ML2 is an old style plugin. Meaning it uses skin files in the skin directory, not the skin2 directory.

I'm guessing this will be your issue.

I'm the author of the Blue-Retro-SHV skin & I have come across this problem a couple of times now with different plugins, so far the other plugin authors have altered their plugin so as they work with the skin2 directory.

I'm not sure the best way around it as I just don't have time to make skins for all the plugins at the moment. I was wondering if I include (or suggest they make) an empty ..\skin\Blue-Retro-SHV directory would ML2 install it's skin in there so as at least it would work with my skin?

yes that might be a solution. I'm guessing there is a problem as the blue-retro-shv directory doesn't exist rather than just one of the skin files inside that directory (if just a file missing then it can be called from somewhere else) if i directory missing, then i guess this is what happens.

Nope creating an empty ..\skin\Blue-Retro-SHV directory didn't work BUT creating a ..\skin\Blue-Retro-SHV directory & then copied everything out of ..\skin\blue into it worked fine when selecting the Blue-Retro-SHV skin for PVRX2. So there is your answer ncsuser it will work Wink

Thanks Jaggy and psycik for looking into this. I'm at work at the moment, but I'll give the solution a try when I get home. Much appreciated!
