Enhanced Web Admin (EWA) Build 70 Released

Build 70 of EWA has been released. You can download it here or on the wiki.

This upgrade requires GBPVR 99.12 or higher to work.

Date: 2007-12-20 Build Number: 70 Changes:

• UncleJohnsBand: Updated Details pop-up to use a height that aligns with the 1024x768 minimum sceen size.
  
• UncleJohnsBand: Added m4a and mkv file extension as recognized files in the music library.
  
• UncleJohnsBand: Added page directives for auto detection of culture. This should automgically format date's and times based on your culture setting.
  
• UncleJohnsBand: CSS Changes:
  • Added functionality to retain scroll position on Guide, Search Results and Manage Recordngs.
  • Completed last CSS based screen. There is now a complete CSS based EWA.
  • To access CSS based screens just go to Admin2.aspx instead of Admin.aspx and select the Theme you would like to use. Current themes include Prototype, Default and Blue.
  
  
• UncleJohnsBand: CSS General Notes:
  • CSS Note: CSS screens are coded in strict standards mode. This will make future updates easier and provides the best cross-browser (Firefox / IE) compatability. However, this also means that the CSS sceens will only be fully supported by IE 7 and FireFox. Some screens will not work correctly in IE6. Sorry.
  • CSS Note: CSS screens are optimized for screens with 1024x768 resolution or higher. Lower resolution will just cause more scrolling on some screens.
  • CSS Note: Please post feedback/bugs in the EWA CSS Guide sticky thread located in the EWA support forum.

Great work UJB, I'm very happy with the css version. Is there a way to easily change the font size in there? Or just not yet?

Yep....should be just a onle line change in a file....

In the common.css file in the web\themes2\themename\css\ directory there is this line at the top in the Body tag area:

/* set default font characteristics */
font-family:Verdana,"Trebuchet MS", Arial, sans-serif;
font-size:10px;

Just change the font-size. Save and then just hit refresh on the browser.

First of all, I wanted to say that I love the new CSS version of EWA!

However, I've sure missed having the "TreeView" display in the Manage Recordings page. I still find myself using the non-css version of EWA to manage my recordings just so that I can use the "TreeView" display. I usually set the primary sort to "Status" and the secondary sort to "Title". This displays a one-liner for each of my shows, with the episodes of each show grouped together. I find this to be a very handy way to navigate when a lot of shows have been recorded.

Any plans to create the equivalent of "TreeView" within the new CSS version of EWA?

Yea....the code is still there but I need to work on the display.....I had attempted it a couple of times and it was a real pain in the ass.... so I decided to not make the initial roll-out wait until I could figure out how to get it to work the way I wanted.

So.....it is being worked on.....it will just take some time....
