I'm having a problem and need to reach out for some assistance.

First, let me say thank you once again and in advance for great support.

I'm experiencing a new issue where PVRX2 will jump to 50% cpu utilization and grab a bunch of RAM. I have to spare but the program becomes unresponsive. When you flip through the program listing - this is where initially realized it - it goes one at a time. If you hold down the remote button you have to wait some time for it to process all those events and advance the channel listings. Further when I exited PVRX2 it did exit from the menu but I got a crash message on exit.

I've tried the following :

Tried #1: One thing I noticed in my events viewer is that I was getting a .Net 2 error. I entered Add/Remove Programs and sequentially changed/repaired .Net2SP1, .Net3SP1 and .Net3.5.

Result #1: This eliminated my .Net event error but PVRX2, while starting fine, again jumped to 50% cpu utilization. I opened it and played a song from audio. At some point during it's play the cpu jumped up. Listings were extremely slow again and it crashed on exit.

Tried #2 : I reinstalled GBPVR and rebooted in the interim.

Result #2 : no difference. Still jumps to 50% cpu. This time while a DVD playing and crashed on exit.

I'm trying to self-diagnose as I get to know the program but I'm at a point of needing a little help again. I've attached logs and did see a SQL error generated by MovieWizard but was uncertain how to correct that and if it was the source of my issue.

Thanks again.

A 130mb of ram can be normal for GB-PVR depending on how many channels you've got and how many days of listings.

When does this hight CPU usage start, ie when the app starts? If so, does it stop after a few minutes? Its normal to face a reasonably high amount of CPU usage for the first couple of minutes while the EPG loads in the background.

Oh wise one. I was just coming to report the same.

I booted it up and CPU was at 50%, I could move around my audio files and play them with no issues. Then after a bit I noticed that the cpu was back to nothing and I could flip through channels fine. I do find that Live TV is very jerky now but think that may be a different issue with codecs that needs to be solved.

Good to know however that the EPG loads in the background for a bit. I take it up and down as I work with configurations so fast I'll just allow more time for the EPG to load or test with an OTA ATSC source with just a few channels.

Again, thanks.

It exited clean this time too. I suppose I was exiting while the EPG was still loading before.

Yep, that can produce an error message in the SQLite libraries. I've had another go at fixing it for the next release, so it might be gone soon.
