I used the Hip guide to control GB-PVR and it works great.
I want to configure Hip in order to control other applications such as PDVD
I tried to do that by listing PDVD at row 2 at the Hip main window.
When PDVD is working, I can see it is the application in control (it appears in bold letters while GB-PVR is in regular font on the Hip symbol at the taskbar) but every key I hit would start GB-PVR instead of doing its function on PDVD.

i guess i didn't configure it correctly the first time i did it, because removing all the keys from alternate input (file->prefernces->alternate input) got me to lose control on GB-PVR.
where do i find the hip file to post?
btw, using mce remote

in config make sure you have mce remote selected
i did mine different than the wiki page as that is only good if you use hip and your remote for gbpvr only
when you save your hip config file have a look where its saved to
or you can save a new copy of the one you are using save it to desktop then post here then delete that way you dont affect your current setup
click on file and go save config... as ...

heres a link to a hip config file i used to use its a bit different than what i use now but worth a look

you should be able to control gbpvr withput even having hip loaded
you have to have the mce remote selected in gbpvr config

a few things i notice
you need to remove all the keys from the alternate input
under program 1 gbpvr you shouldnt need all those keys added if you select mce remote in gbpvr config (if you want to leave as is it should still work )

map the hip control key to the red button then when you want to change control you press red button followed by "2" this will give you hip control of power dvd
at the moment you have it only set to gbpvr so as soon as you press a button it thinks its meant to be controlling gbpvr so it opens gbpvr
you could also trying changing the the unique buttons to last selected app

hope you can follow this

I did select the mce remote in the GB-PVR config.
maybe it doesn't work because I don't have the original mce remote?
anyway' even if it's not the original remote, after teaching hip all the keys, shouldn't I be able to control all these programs?

you could use the start button as the control button if you want this would bring up the hip control panel then select the app you want to start from there

there are lots of different ways you can do all this im just giving you ideas that you may not have thought of

yeah that could be the reason for it not working thats no biggy
just leave those keys that you add to program 1 GBpvr there then
but i would still try the other things
i think the reason you arnt getting it to work is just what i said earlier it thinks you want to control gbpvr so one you add the control button and use the control last selected app (may be able to change this after trial and error)
i reckon you will be in bussiness
