I've looked in the unmodified xmltv from SD that's downloaded with xmltv.exe

It doesn't seem to have the <new/> tag. Is there one when used natively in GB-PVR?

Should be in the SD native feed....below is a line from the XML that I am getting from SD that shows the New tag set to true......You find the new indicator on the schedule segment as an attribute called new......

Is this actually an xmltv file? or some other xml file format.

SD has its own format....it is not compliant with the XMLTv format.

I have been working on (as I get time) an extended EWA load for XMLTv files (XMLTvUtilities) so that EWA can display the extended info that is not provided natively by GBPVR.....it is close to being done....I think....it has been a while since I looked at it.

Ok, at the risk of sounding like a total newb (which...I guess I am.) I have no idea how to get this thing up and running. I downloaded the file from the wiki site, but have no clue where to go about integrating it into gbpvr or install it, etc. I read the instructions on the WiKi, but those were not alot of help.

I read them (they were very short)! I unzipped it into the GBPVR directory, created the .bat file, and put that one command line in it. But from there......I have no clue!

The next time your EPG loads the batch file should run (gbpvr runs it if the batch file is there)....nothing you need to do. And then you should start seeing the extended info in EWA after that first run.

That's it....that is why the instructions are short.

You can turn on and off what extended info you see in EWA by going into the Config tab....you will see the options for New Show, Credits, etc. Check the ones you want to see visible in EWA.

Ok, I reloaded the guide from within PVRx2, and still nothing in EWA. If I messed up the command line in the bat file, like where the email/password goes, would it still show in EWA, but not load data?

You can tell if EWA knows that you have it installed by looking on the Config tab. If you see options for Ahow New, Show Credits, Show Air/Release date and Show HD then EWA knows that the extended information database is there.

Look in your GBVR directory....you should see a log file (if you used the command line that is on the wiki).....that log file will show you what executed.

Also....I am not sure if when you "force an EPG Update" (i.e. click the button to update EPG) if GBPVR executes the postupdateepg.bat file....it may only run when the EPG updates for the scheduled time you set in GBPVR configuration.

You can run the command yourself as well.....just open a command window in the GBPVR directory and enter the command

schedulesdirectimport schedulesdirect_email_address password

Since this line does not have the >schedulesdirectimport.log redirect in it everything will display to the screen so you can see what is happening in real-time.
