First of all let me just say that GBPVR truly rocks. Many thanks to everyone involved with this project. My question (for today anyway) is this..has anyone figured out how to play flac files through MVP? I can play flac in GBPVR on my pc with no problem. I am using GBPVR 1.1.5 and the MVPMC dongle.bin dated 12.28.07. I can play the flac files through MVP if i change the file extension to .fla however this would take an exceedingly large amount of time to go through and change all of these extensions as well as the playlists for all of them since the playlists are using the .flac extension. If i can accomplish this task i will be more than satisfied with my setup (at least for now lol). By the way i have tried MusicLibrary2 and while i can see that a lot of work has gone into this i prefer the standard option. Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

I've added the .flac to the list for the next release.

I assume that isn't true FLAC support, since GBPVR would be sending it to ffmepg and convert it to lossy mp3. If you want to simply pass the file as is to mvpmc emulation mode with a new media type (TBD), mvpmc can then deliver CD quality lossless. Using the digital out it is tremendous.

Correct, its converted on the fly to a lossy mp3 file.

You can't pass FLAC to mvpmc using emulation mode and GBPVR, but in the file system mode mvpmc plays them. If you use an mvpmc share place a FLAC file in with dongle.bin.config navigate to /etc/mvpmc and give it a listen.

I find anything less than real FLAC support unsatisfying. This would have been something nice to give back to mvpmc users. Maybe one day.
