Pyscik,

I am using ML2 beta 7 with 1.15 PVRX over the MVP.

How do I access window where it displays the list of playlists (m3u files)? I see it sometimes but it seems like the playlists pane only appears once my ML2 playlist has finished. What I would like to do it scroll my playlists and queue songs from there...or queue the entire playlist or choose randomly from it etc...

Thanks,
Scott

When you're in the library screen and stopped then the green button (ctrl-g) will show you the saved (and external) playlists. If playing then it will show you what you are playing.

And the only actions available on a playlist are play it, randomise and play it, delete it. You can't queue songs from the traylist on an individual basis. Sorry

As always thanks for the quick response!

Ok, that'll work!
Any plans on making that a bit more flexible? It would awesome if the playlists acted as if they were just another part of the library. It would also be nice to access them while the existing queue is still playing.

Awesome plugin! Please dont take my suggestions as a negative critique. ML2 is used in my house every day...its fantastic!

No I don't take any suggestions as negatives...everyone always has different ways of doing things....that's why there are 5 music plugins!!! (And I think I see another being made based on some of the question being asked in the developer area).

I'll give it some thought. I can fairly easily give you a way of queing an individual song from a playlist (when stopped). But browsing them maybe different. Not impossible but obviously I have code that says

Code:
If Playing Music
   show current playing playlist
else
   show playlist listings

Yeah I might be able to look at this....press another button or something with viewing the playlist screen to toggle the current playing or playlist listings...

I am running ML2 6.7Beta and PVRX2 1.1.5.

When I invoke the Playlist (Ctrl-G on the PC), the list of imported M3U displays correctly but PVRX2 aborts immediately after with the Windows XP's friendly "PVRX2 encountered an unexpected problem - sorry". Naturally, the same happens when trying from the MediaMVP (Green button on the remote) where the MVP reboots immediately after displaying the M3U list.

Probably irrelevant, but I am running the French version of everything, XP SP2, .NET 3.0 recently installed (same problem was occurring with .NET 2.0 anyway).

Thanks for all the incredible work you guys are doing.

So pvrx2 craches when you select on of those playlists and before the tracks of that playlist display?

Or when you try to do something with the playlist?

Only the playlist names are displayed on the left hand side - nothing else displayed on the right hand side. As soon as the list is displayed, the crash happens without any intervention from my part.

Can you post a log where it's trying to read a playlist, and made one of the playlists as well.

Thanks

To make sure I had everything right, I nuked the library, rescanned before reproducing the error.

I have attached the resulting log file as well as one of the input M3U file (had to save both as .txt files since .log and .m3u extensions are not allowed on this board).

The bottom of the log seems to indicate that ML did not find any track in the first two playlists (out of 8). However, the attached M3U does show content, as well as the attached screenshot of the db3 content.

Can you get anything from that?

I just looked at the PVRX2 log (cut&paste of the suspicious part attached). You'll find a series of FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION statements that looks obviously related to my problem. It seems to point to the following statement:
PsycikProductions.MusicLibrary.Playlist.GetPlaylistFromM3U()

The French error phrase can be translated to "Character string length cannot be equal to zero"
