Found a problem. You have to output these tags in this order for the DTD to be happy...

<video>
<present>yes</present>
<aspect>16:9</aspect>
<quality>HD Simulcast</quality>
</video>

Also, the parser doesn't like this:

<!DOCTYPE tv SYSTEM "http://xmltv.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/xmltv/xmltv/xmltv.dtd?revision=1.38">

It prefers:

<!DOCTYPE tv SYSTEM "xmltv.dtd">

of course this works because there's a local copy of the dtd in the same directory...

It's funny how it seems my mce broke. I can't get regular listings using the before beta stuff.

Now I have pulled the tuners out of my computer. That might be the problem, I'll be putting them back in, and see...

I was hoping not to have to include a local copy of the DTD but I guess I can. I'll put it as an option in the GUI to use a local copy and download it if it doesn't exist.

nope C:\WINDOWS\ehome is what it is. did you have a beta for mce for me to try?
i still think it's service pack 3 rc1 issue.

i copied my epg folder into C:\WINDOWS\ehome and now it seems to be working

well it sort of works, the error is gone now. but it dont download the epg data.

also could you put something identifying in this tag:

<tv date="2008-01-11">

your old converter had...
<tv source-info-name="MS Media Center EPG" generator-info-name="MceEpg2XmlTv (2005 Edition) v1.0.1.1">

which I parsed to tell which source, and then I could change certain settings...

The new build I posted is just the converter. I have not added the downloader features yet. I'll download the Service Pack tonight and check the assembly version
