Hi all, I'm new to GB-PVR and looking foreward to using it. Unfortunatly I've come accross some complications that I can't find resolutions for on the Wiki.

#1) I'm looking to get free EPG listings, I've tried using MSN_XMLTV_scraper but I can't seem to make the listings show with gbpvr. All I see is no info in all fields.

#2) When I view live tv, it's not alligned on my screen properely. If I were watching a LTBX movie, I would see the picture at the very top of the screen (no top black bar) and black bar underneith it, with static under the bar. If I pause the tv and resume, it works fine, but does this until I hit pause. Also colour is effected, colours are off, but corrected after I have paused the Show.

#3) Not sure how to set up Channel Changer plugin. Remote works fine, but not sure where to point this too. system specs are as follows:

Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3200 (through s-vid)
Hauppage pvr-150 (retail w/45 button remote & IR-Blaster)
windows XP

Glad to become part of the comunity and hope I can get some assistance.

Thanks in advanced,
Sped

Try importing the EPG again (ie, click the 'Update EPG' button in your capture source settings in config app), then zip and attach the config.exe.log file and I'll take a look.

As a first step, try a different video decoder.

You need to configure the Hauppauge BlastCFG application to control your set top box, then set you GB-PVR channel changer to the '.exe channel changer' and point it at c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\haupblast.exe.

Do I use a hardware or software decoder?

Software decoder.

If you dont have any options listed other than 'system default' then try installing the decoder from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

That log file doesnt show an EPG update. You attached config.exe.log-3 file, which is an older backup.

Start the config app, view your capture source settings, then hit the 'Update EPG' button. Leave it for a few seconds then zip and attach the config.exe.log file.

WOW, fast responses. Sorry, I guess I zipped the wrong file. Here's the other one.

I am going to DL that codec and give it a try. My STB is in the other room, so it's a chore to unhook everything and bring the pc in that room, so I can't check everything for a while.

I changed the Channel Changer config.

It look like you have an invalid xmltv file. It has some duplicate channel IDs.

GB-PVR will only import a valid xmltv file.
