I queue up a bunch of tracks, which start playing (first one I queue). I go into playlist screen, and hit the yellow button, but nothing comes up to save it.

Need any more info?

I've never tried to save a playlist via MVP before - just tried it - same as mkenyon2 - when I hit yellow button from playlist screen, the AB prompt does not appear.

edit:

I don't know why this was annoying me since I don't make up playlists like this, but it was, so I played about a bit...

If you uncheck 'Force minimal OSD for MVP' on the MVP tab in config, Save Playlist works fine...

However, according to the wiki
Quote:The normal display of the OSD can cause stuttering or other glitches on the MediaMVP. Forcing minimal OSD prevents the OSD from displaying unless specially called.
so you might not want to do that...

Do you want to try it again, and then actually try typing something?? I remember with certain skins the "AB" wouldn't show up....

Using Blue skin, it works fine on server, client and MVP...
Using Blue-Retro_SHV it works fine on server and client but on MVP, the 'AB' does not appear and keying in a name and pressing OK anyway, does not save a playlist.

Strange, can't think why it would work on PC and not on MVP. Does it reset the MVP or anything like that or just stare at you blankly??

Can you post the MVP and MVP-Musiclibary logs?

Why is nothing ever simple... I had already decided to do some more testing to see if I could find out more...

I restarted recording service to get a nice clean set of logs - guess what - save playlist button now behaves as it should using the blue or Blue-Retro-SHV skin. I tried several times but it now always works.

Logs from when it misbehaved the other day are long gone.

I'll keep my eye out for any recurrence...

BTW What do you mean by "MVP-Musiclibary logs"

If you have "internal logging" for musiclibrary2 it creates a MusicLibrary2.log and if on an MVP - MVP-MusicLIbrary2.log.

Otherwise ML2 just logs to the default pvrx2 logs.

At least it's working though?!?

I'll set internal logging on now - regular MVP logs sometimes difficult to follow.

Working for the moment - but my experience is that problems which go away on their own, come back on their own...

I played about with a client (not an MVP) and the problem appeared, so I played about a bit more and I found one way to make it misbehave - hope it helps...

Start pvrx2 - give the epg load time to settle down
open ML2 - navigate to track list
select a track ("Time") - add to queue
go to playlist
save playlist - type 'A' then Enter
go back to library - select track ("Money") - add to queue
go to playlist (both tracks show)
ctrl+y - log shows "No key mapping found for: ^Y"
backed out of pvrx2 using the exit menu option
looked at logs - got confused
here they are...

I'm using Community Skin's Default right now.

I don't get reset, it just stares at me blankley. but I haven't played since I posted (been busy).

Question, what would/should happen if I'm in the playlist screen and hit the yellow button twice? My remote sometimes doesn't register (even though the red lite on the MVP blinks) forcing me to press again to get the desired action. This part may be for another post.
