Title says it all - it would be really great to have the DVB EPG option working for North America. Smile

I believe all the DVB apps like MyTheatre, DVB Dream, Prog DVB, etc have had this working since a long time so maybe there is some free/open source code which can be used as a starting point?

Not sure, but could this (or should this) be done as a plug-in? I think in the case of the DVB apps I mentioned that the DVB EPG is done as a plug-in. Come to think of it, I wonder if any of these plug-ins might work currently in GBPVR?

Other epg plugins like dvbepg will not work. I think they need coredvb or something like that.

I do hope to add this, but unfortunately its not good timing for me - I've been very busy with work recently, and I'm about to get on a plane and leave the country for the next couple of weeks.

If you bump this thread in three or four weeks, then I'll see if I can do something about it.

Changes included in the 1.1.5 release's DVB EPG option go along way towards what is required for NA DVB EPG (the ability to get listings from a transponder other than the one carrying the channel). It would still need the ability to parse the proprietary EPG stream, but channel/transponder change was probably the bigger chunk of work, and it is now done.

No worries sub, have a great trip. Smile

If you can provide a new 1 minute long sample transport stream, then I've got time to take another look.

:o Forgot to subscribe to this thread, sorry about that or I would have responded sooner! :o Anyhow, I recorded about a little under a minute from the stream. This particular channel 218 is from transponder 12311 which I believe transmits the full guide all the time. File is too big to attach so I have uploaded here.

Are you sure you recored the correct transponder? Looking at the file with TSReader it seems to have quite a few listings, but nothing newer than today. I think this must be the transponder that carries the 2 day guide, not the 9 day guide?

Can you supply another sample stream from the 9 day guide transponder?
