k, don't worry about those instructions at all, that is really more for installing the big syabas apps that aren't part of the firmware (torrent, ftp, samba server etc). I did that work just in case that is how Syabas want to support user apps and I hope they don't.

For now just follow the usb instructions to get telnet going via the erlis method. Some of these are are on lundman's wiki http://www.lundman.net/wiki/index.php/NMT:telnetd

Wow, it's almost 25 minutes. Maybe you should listen to "Zomby Woof", it's a lot shorter and one of my many favorite tracks! It could inspire you to do some great programming for emulation mode.

Done that, Chris kindly pointed me to it here. Still only get telnetd (nothing about port 23...??). Tried FAT32 and FAT drive. (Not vfat or Ext3) What should I try now?

Don't worry that the drive being FAT in fact forget you ever read that.

Make sure that all three files are in the root of your USB.
Select the USB drive as your media source
Select telnet.hmtl
Try and connect via telnet ignore what the screen says.

But modify [B]HARD_DISK[/B] according to the name of the usb-disk in PCH.
3. Open the following url: [URL]http://localhost.drives:8883/HARD_DISK/script.cgi[/URL] from your PCH (modify [B]HARD_DISK[/B] according to the name of the usb-disk in PCH).

The one in Chris file had "USB_DRIVE_A-1" in script.cgi AND telnet.html. Mine shows as "USB_DRIVE_A". I changed that in BOTH .cgi and .html, still doesn't work. Arggggggggh.

Maybe this helps: I would reboot your PCH, that's what I did. This makes sure the USB link is correct.

Restart with the original files and edit with wordpad instead of notepad. It could be the a problem with the text file itself, *nix's don't like cr/lf.

I actually want you to map to the mvpmc share with NMT software if you can.

Well, this isn't going as I'd planned it. I've installed Hanewin NFS server, setup a share and mapped the share in the PCH. But for some strange reason none of the files I place in the share show up on the PCH. I only see index.htm and index_sd.htm, but these files aren't in my Windows share. I don't know where they are coming from.
Some time ago I had this working, so I must be doing something wrong. Since then I have reinstalled Vista and setup my networking without password enabled sharing. Any ideas or maybe another way to setup a share? I also read on the PCH forum that Vista could give troubles with NFS.

You can just do it from windows shares, it doesnt need NFS.

Can you give me an example of this? What should I enter on my PCH if for instance I have a share called mvpmc on 192.168.1.76?
