After much debating with self and reading this forum about HVR-1600 and discovering HDHomeRun, I ordered HDHR yesterday expecting delivery today.

What is the best way to configure HDHR with 3 PC’s o/s Win XP sp2 on a hardwire Ethernet network. PC#1 has PVR150 (currently using GBPVR very well), PC#2 and PC#3 (GBPVR not installed) has no tuners.

Do I use GBPVR network streaming capabilities using PC#1 as a server for PC#2 and PC#3 as GBPVR clients!

Or can I setup designate HDHR tuners for PC#2 and PC#3 with GBPVR installed!

I hope my questions may sense!

Makes sense to me......I am interested in knowing this too since I am leaning in this same direction.

The HDHomeRun has two tuners so sharing between 3 PCs will require you be careful not to run into conflicts on the tuners. If PC#1 is recording on tuner 1 and PC#2 accesses the same tuner, the recording on PC#1 will cut out. The best thing would be to use PC#1 as a server.

Your other option is to dedicate one tuner to PC#1 and then share the other tuner between PC#2 and PC#3. Only one could access the tuner at a time though.

I,m leaning using PC#1 as a server, I think it's easier to manage tuners locations and updating on one PC. Although it has this possible disadvantage quoted above.

On another issue, I've installed the HDHR drivers and added BDA.ini filter information. Config.exe sees the capture devices for PVR150, HDHR#0 and HDHR#1. Updated EPG for these devices, but GBPVR does not see HDHR devices while watching TV when I select digitial channels. PVR150 seems to be working just fine for the analog channels. When using VLC I do see digitial TV on HDHR tuners. What I am doing wrong! What logs should I be looking at!

After updating the EPG, did you click the Map Digital Channelsto EPG Channels button and go through that process?

WTG, Yes I did"Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels" although it was very cumbersome and maybe inaccurate. Also, I redid the EPG Channels by removing all them and did a new schedule direct download along with a new mapping. But it still has not help!

If you have any software firewalls running, you need to add exceptions for gbpvr.exe, pvrx2.exe, config.exe, and GBPVRRecordingService.exe

That can happen if you are trying to play a program with AC3 audio but don't have an AC3 capable decoder. Try downloading AC3Filter and setting it as the default playback decoder in GB-PVR.
