I can get a Shuttle IRDA remote control pretty cheap and it looks as if you can program GBPVR to work with (m)any? IR remotes. Is this true?
Also can I use the remote from my TV Walker Mini to control playback in GBPVR (I haven't taken it out of the box yet!!! and can I get any software to use this remote to control Windows Media Player?
Currently my PC is behind a wall thats behind my lounge, I have a usb Hub in the lounge so I can plug in a USB remote sensor here or even move my TV Walker out to the lounge if required (assuming it works on a usb powered hub) but I'm trying to work out if I'm best investing in a Stuttle remote (Under my wifes Capex approval Limit - try and push to let me buy a Firefly (or whatever the diamond multimedia Radio remote's called) or perhaps I can make do with the Walker one (I could program our universal remote to emulate it).
Any suggestions?
