Sub, has posted a message on the NMT forums with some nicer screen captures of what the PCH looks like at 720p. "This ain't your father's MVP"

Geez, they're a tough crowd over at the NMT forums. No matter what I post I cant seem to get even a sniff of interest. I'm looking forward to a few more GB-PVR users receiving their Popcorn Hour A100s. I'm sure some of them hang out on the NMT forums and take pity on me, and post replies in threads that mention GB-PVR. Big Grin

(after all, more posts on the NMT forums = higher profile with manufacturer of PCH = better development support from manufacturer)

Yeah, I was very disappointed too. Just replied there to give your thread a bump, maybe they missed it

I try and I'm in the same boat. I hear gripes that the NMT doesn't support vorbis audio and I can get it working in mvpmcx2 with GB-PVR easily in under a half an hour but I can't even get a sample multi-channel ogg file to test.

You have resolved most of the problems with the UI, in fact I'd go as far as saying with yesterday's update you have the fastest, easiest, and nicest looking PVR client on any platform at any price, (maybe including your own client) It beats my STB hand's done so much so that I'm looking int R5000 solutions now for HD. From the media centre perspective you address so many things that NMT users complain about frankly I am confused at the lack of responses. The command line interface to HDHR gets more kudo's and I have to shake my head.

If it's any consolation, I get the impression that both my Popcornhour and Syabas contacts understand the importance of what we both are doing. Hopefully this will get me the information I need to make this THE killer media extender.

I've been looking and following the threads with interest on the popcorn hour. and it's making me second guess the need for a client pc which I fully intended to build when I got meself a big screen (I was looking at a minimac). But the popcorn hour may be able to do that for me.

And the pictures you guys posted are really nice, maybe they don't realise the effort gone into it or something.

psycik sadly, sadly ML2 is one of the plugins that suffers the most in the current implementation. The 8 seconds between songs is a bit long, no album art while playing hurts, but the worst is that I like tkgafs mode and once it starts we can't signal a stop.

On the other hand there is NMT demand for lastfm access and I've seen that you have this but I've never used it. If anyone has this working on their PCH I think that would get some people trying it.

Yep, I'm going to have to agree. Its definitely the best client option at the moment. A few minor issues, but I still think it is very nice.

You're welcome to come a round and take a look if you want. It'd help you decide if you want to buy one or not.

We should take offline to this discussion - but I'd be interested in discussing why...
