@mvallevand: just to make it clear, that's exactly my tought also & i'd like to also say: your work on the PCH is appreciated even if i don't buy one. why? for creating the possibility of other clients! and thanks for the link HTPC vs Media Player
it's frustrating that syabas makes it that hard to customise. funny thing: they do list GB-PVR as a server, you would expect some sort of support on the other side if they use it for promo... sub, do you have a leverage on that to get some decent support from them?

No worry k.s. I did not take this at all personally. Since you did get into aesthetics last year I bought what I thought was quite a nice looking, inexpensive, and very quiet case for an htpc the Antec NSK 2400 Fusion http://www.silentpcreview.com/files/imag.../front.jpg and my wife much prefers the Popcornhour. The cost of the case and Windows alone was more than the PCH too.

Syabas and I have been talking but they are all small company, and are also trying to improve their firmware as a priority which is the right business decision.

it's not so much about taking it personally. it's more about a thank you & showing some appreciation. it's motivating to get some & there is never enough of it in the development / support business
didn't know they are so small, that makes it a bit harder to get more support when they have to struggle with the daily business. let's hope they get more muscles
yeah, it's hard to get a nice case. at the moment it's no matter because i don't see the server, it's hidden behind the TV cabinet but even my current tower case would win against the PCH
